Pacific Coast Highway Mixed-Use Development

    Redondo Beach Mixed-Use Commercial Building

    Project Overview

    This project explores the design of a modern mixed-use commercial building located in Redondo Beach, California. The development is organized as a series of row-style commercial units positioned above a ground-level parking area, creating an efficient layout that maximizes site utilization while maintaining a strong street presence.


    The architectural composition is anchored by a two-story tower element that houses the primary stair and elevator circulation. This vertical feature serves as a visual focal point for the building while providing clear access and wayfinding for occupants and visitors.


    A continuous metal soffit extends along the façade, creating a strong horizontal line that unifies the building composition while providing shade and weather protection for the commercial spaces below. The interplay between horizontal and vertical elements helps establish a balanced architectural expression that responds to the surrounding urban context.


    The result is a contemporary commercial structure that combines functional mixed-use design with a clear architectural identity, creating an engaging presence along the Redondo Beach streetscape.
