Project Overview
This project involved a two-story addition and comprehensive renovation of an existing Craftsman-style residence in La Jolla. The design approach focused on expanding the home’s living space through effective home remodeling while preserving and enhancing the architectural character associated with traditional Craftsman homes.
The two-story addition introduces new upper and lower level spaces that improve the home’s functionality and spatial organization. Careful consideration was given to the scale, rooflines, and detailing of the new construction to ensure the addition integrates seamlessly with the existing structure.
Exterior updates reinforce the home’s Craftsman architectural language, incorporating balanced proportions, natural materials, and thoughtful detailing that complement the surrounding La Jolla neighborhood.
Interior renovations reorganize the primary living areas to create improved flow and connectivity throughout the home. Updated spaces enhance everyday living while bringing greater natural light and openness to the interior environment.
The result is a cohesive transformation that expands the home while respecting the timeless character of Craftsman residential architecture.
